Miss Michelle has created her first early literacy vlog! As usual, Sammy the Toucan played “sidekick.” As a video veteran, Sammy made sure everything ran smoothly, or at least as smoothly as could reasonably be expected with Sammy’s exuberant screen persona.

Great job, Miss Michelle! You’ll be an ol’ pro like Sammy in no time.

Meet Crafty Gal, new MPL early literacy associate, whose actual name is Miss Michelle. Always on top of things, Sammy already gave Miss Michelle her “Cauli nickname” in this introductory video.

Crafty Gal is a MSTie (i.e., fan of MST3K–Mystery Science Theater 3000), so I know we will get along smashingly.

Welcome, Crafty Gal! You’ve survived a Sammy video interview. No mean feat, that.

Meet Miss Michelle!

Meet Michelle Peltier, our new early literacy associate for our youth services department.

Michelle comes to MPL from Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library, where she served as a librarian assistant. Prior to that, she was banquet room manager at Chateau Thomas Winery. She is a graduate of Indiana State University and Plainfield (Indiana) High School, and she resides in Monrovia, so she is nearly a “Mooresvillian.” (Plainfield is about seven miles north, and Monrovia about five miles west, of Mooresville.)

Miss Michelle will be undertaking all early literacy programs and initiatives at the Library. Coming from Plainfield library, she is already well-versed in Evergreen Indiana, our online open-source integrated library system (or catalog, in the traditional librarian parlance).

Welcome, Miss Michelle! Our staff and patrons look forward to working with you in our youth services programming.
