WHAT IS EVERGREEN INDIANA?
Over 100 public, school, and institutional libraries serving nearly one million Hoosiers across Indiana have joined the growing Evergreen Indiana consortium, which use the Evergreen Indiana integrated library system (ILS), commonly called an online catalog. Patrons of participating libraries may use their Evergreen Indiana library cards to borrow materials from any member library.

The Evergreen Indiana online catalog holds over 2.9 million bibliographic records and provides access to over 6.8 million items.
See the Evergreen Indiana Consortium Members Page for a complete list of the participating libraries. See also the Evergreen Indiana Member Map for locations of member libraries.
The Evergreen Indiana project is funded by the Indiana State Library through Library Services and Technology Act grants. The services provided by the State Library include purchasing and maintaining the central servers, personnel costs in operating the system, training, software development, data conversion, and other related expenses.
WHEN YOU NEED AN MPL-ISSUED E.I. LIBRARY CARD
For some resources, such as some of our online databases (library apps), you need to have an Evergreen Indiana library card that was issued by Mooresville Public Library. You can tell if your card was issued by MPL if you look at the back. The card number should begin with 27323…, and it should say “Mooresville Public Library.” MPL issues E.I. cards only (1) to residents of Brown Township, Morgan County, Indiana; (2) to students enrolled in the Mooresville campus of Ivy Tech Community College; or (3) to teachers or staff employed by the Mooresville Consolidated School Corporation (but who reside outside Morgan County). Students enrolled in the Mooresville Consolidated School Corporation (who reside in the other townships in Morgan County) may obtain E.I. cards from Morgan County Public Library.
If your E.I. card was issued by another E.I. library, you may still check-out nearly all other circulating items (that’s over 75,000 holdings from which to choose). You may also obtain a temporary computer card from the circulation desk to use our computer lab (these are also available to patrons who do not have E.I. library cards).
