Get Rooted in Reading with our Summer Reading Program, starting on May 22!
Log reading minutes to earn prizes! Pick up your first reading log at the Youth Services desk, or sign up on Beanstack. Each reading log counts for 500 minutes of reading.
There are three levels that you can complete. Completing all three levels will earn you an entry into our raffle for amazing grand prizes!
To fill our your reading log, color in a picture for each 5-minute block of time you spend reading. When you have finished, bring the log sheet to the library.
When you turn in your log sheet, you will receive a prize as follows:
- Level One: One NEW free book from our prize cart.
- Level Two: Free summer reading T-shirt (while supplies last).
- Level Three: Raffle ticket (digital) to be entered in our grand prize drawing, and a sunflower starter grow kit.
Our grand prizes this year include:
- 1 Year Membership to Urban Air
- Nintendo Switch Lite
- Cooking Classes at Katsumi’s Teaching Kitchen
- Houseplant Subscription Box
- 1 Month of Classes with the Mooresville Arts Partnership
- Bike & Helmet Shopping Spree
If you want an added challenge, check out our Eager Reader bingo sheet once you have completed Level Three!
Eager Reader participants are entered in to win a Kindle Fire upon completion of all challenges!
Rooted in Reading is a local summer reading program, and participants will need to come to the Mooresville Public Library to pick up prizes.
Summer Reading officially ends on July 18 with our Wrap-up Party.
Logs will be accepted until July 23. Winners will be drawn on July 24.
Even if you complete a physical sheet, you will need to be signed up on Beanstack to be entered into either raffle.
