BookBrowse has a website devoted to “read-alikes,” i.e., if you like a certain author or book, you might like these others. The website is searchable by book title or author.

Looking for Indiana authors to read? The Indiana Center for the Book has created a Literary Map of 200 Hoosier writers for the state’s bicentennial. It’s a great resource for book clubs or teachers.
The library offers many useful databases for our patrons to use. Most may be accessed anywhere through the Internet; a few require patrons to be physically present at the MPL campus. Click here to access our databases.
Did you know that the library has a separate business section in the adult nonfiction area? It is located to the left of the new books shelves.
COMPUTER LAB & WIRELESS
Patrons may use our computer lab or wireless connectivity for online access. Use your library card to log-into lab PCs, or log-onto the MPL wireless network using your laptop or other online devices.
COMPUTER CLASSES FOR SENIORS
For those age 50 or older, ComputerAged.org offers beginner and advanced computer classes in the library instructional computer mini-lab. Call (317) 855-8734 to register or for more information.
The library has a notary public available to notarize your signature on important documents. Ask for Sharon, Sandra, or Bill. They are ready to serve you, with notary seal poised for action! The service is FREE!
