FOL MISSION STATEMENT
The Mooresville Public Library’s FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY (FOL) program continues to be an important part of the library’s continued success.
The group’s purpose is to create public support for the library, sponsor programs designed to add to the cultural life of the community, promote public awareness and use of MPL, encourage gifts and memorials to the library, purchase some items needed by patrons and staff and provide volunteer work.
BECOME A “FRIEND OF THE LIBRARY”
Through fundraising, events and generating public awareness, FOL enables Mooresville Public Library to provide additional services and special events for our patrons. For example, money from the FOL book sales and other fundraisers have gone towards the purchase of the new electronic sign, for bringing authors, musicians, and artists to the library, and for purchasing refreshments and other items needed for the library programs such as the summer reading program.
We’re always looking for new friends. We hope you become a member today! Membership dues for FOL are used for programs and materials not covered by the library budget. Dues are $10 for an individual, $15 for a family, $25 for a benefactor, and $50 for a donor. To join, please return your membership dues and this form to the library.
ONGOING BOOK SALE
FOL has a ongoing book sale in the retail room next to the circulation desk. Book bags are also for sale. They are nice canvas bags with the library logo on the side. Each bag costs $15 and the buyer can fill the bag with items from the retail room.
