BECOME A “FRIEND OF THE LIBRARY”
The Mooresville Public Library’s FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY program continues to be an important part of the library’s continued success.
Through fundraising, events and generating public awareness, FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY enables the Mooresville Public Library to provide additional services and special events for our patrons. For example, money from the FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY book sales and other fundraisers have gone towards the purchase of the new electronic sign, for bringing authors, musicians, and artists to the library, and for purchasing refreshments and other items needed for the library programs such as the summer reading program.
We’re always looking for new friends. We hope you become a member today!
MISSION STATEMENT
The group’s purpose is to create public support for the library, sponsor programs designed to add to the cultural life of the community, promote public awareness and use of MPL, encourage gifts and memorials to the library, purchase some items needed by patrons and staff and provide volunteer work.
